About
An early-stage, well-funded fintech building the infrastructure behind a new kind of AI-native investing platform. Small founding team, real product already in motion, backed by experienced investors.
This is a true 0→1 build, working from the ground up alongside the CTO rather than joining an existing stack. Direct CTO partnership from day one, with real ownership over how the systems get built.
What you'll do
- Design and build core backend systems from the ground up
- Work closely with the CTO on architecture and technical direction
- Take ownership of reliability, data integrity, and system performance as the product scales
- Help set engineering standards and practices for the team as it grows
What they're looking for
- 5+ years building, shipping, and operating production backend systems
- Strong fluency in a modern backend language, plus data infrastructure
- A track record of systems that scale
- Real on-call experience where bugs have cost money, data, or trust
- Comfort with ambiguity and broad ownership at founder stage
Bonus
- Fintech, brokerage, payments, or crypto-exchange background
- Broker or clearing integration experience, or FIX protocol / market data exposure
- Double-entry or event-sourced ledger design
- Multi-currency or cross-border payments experience
- Comfort in regulated or high-compliance environments
